Social Cohesion – it’s all coming together…

by William Buist on October 2, 2009

Social CohesionAs the co-operative groups form using social media as the glue to allow people to find other people and businesses to find other businesses that can work effectively together, so the journey starts toward integrating elements of that activity into the business.

When you are collaborating or co-operating with others the need to ensure that you meet their expectations of you and that you follow up appropriately with them to ensure that their commitments to you are met, you start to build processes and strategies that incorporate the communication structures, the knowledge transfer, resource and skills transfers, through the Societal Web that support co-operation and collaboration.  Those processes, once embedded, make your business a mature user of the Societal Web and its products, tools and technologies, and enable you to focus on the outcomes of using those tools rather than the process of using them.

That’s when a business can be said to be cohesive in itself.
